Comprehensive Assessment

Telehealth Sessions
Comprehensive Assessment
It starts with a plan

While we specialize in pelvic floor therapy, your body is a complete system. You will receive a detailed evaluation of pelvic floor muscle function, posture, and overall body mechanics. This cornerstone service identifies the root causes of discomfort or dysfunction and creates an effective, customized treatment plan.

What to Expect During Your Assessment

Initial consultation

We begin with an in-depth conversation about your medical history, lifestyle, symptoms, and specific concerns. This helps us understand your unique circumstances and any contributing factors to your pelvic health.

Postural and Movement Analysis

We assess your posture, gait, and overall movement patterns to identify any misalignments or compensatory habits that may be affecting your pelvic floor..

Breathing Assessment

Proper diaphragmatic breathing is key to pelvic floor function. We evaluate your breathing patterns to ensure your diaphragm and pelvic floor muscles are working in harmony.

Internal and External Muscle Examination

With your consent, we conduct a thorough examination of both the external and internal pelvic floor muscles to check for areas of tension, weakness, or dysfunction. This may include manual muscle testing and gentle palpation.

Functional Testing

We use specific tests to evaluate how your pelvic floor muscles engage during different movements and tasks, helping us understand how they contribute to your daily activities.

Core Strength Evaluation

Since the core and pelvic floor work closely together, we assess your abdominal and lower back strength to pinpoint any weaknesses that could impact pelvic floor function.
